Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

I took the pledge!

A message from Michael D. Peduzzi, President and Chief Executive Officer, CNB Financial Corporation

On behalf of our Team, I welcome you to CNB Financial, CNB Bank, and all our banking and wealth management divisions.  We have a vision that drives our efforts here at CNB…To find a way to say “Yes” to our clients, co-workers, and communities.  A key element underlying this vision is our commitment to fostering, promoting, and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Our Company’s success in sustaining and growing our franchise since 1865 is based on several core values, with one of those being mutual respect.  At its core, respecting others means ensuring our business values and actions align with The Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”  In The Golden Rule, the term “others” has no qualifiers.  Accordingly, we welcome and include all others as our employees, customers, and investors, benefitting from the collective strength and wisdom of their varying experiences, views, and backgrounds.

Continuing Education: Black History Month

Employees of CNB Bank and all of its divisions welcomed Bishop Dwayne Brock, Presiding Bishop of Covenant Ministries International Fellowship, for a special discussion where he shared his insight on the origins of Black History Month, and why it's important to share the truth about our collective history.

Community Outreach

As a community bank, we believe it’s crucial to support and promote local communities and the special work that is being done to foster the same inclusive culture that we work to bring inside our doors.

One community cause that is near and dear to our hearts is Stonewall Columbus.

For 40 years Stonewall Columbus has served the Central Ohio community working to uplift LGBTQ+ identities. Their mission and vision are to “increase visibility, inclusion, and connection for the LGBTQ+ community so we see a community where ALL of US thrive.”

Stonewall’s annual PRIDE Festival and March serves as the organization’s largest annual fundraiser that secures the needed funds to support Stonewall’s community programs and annual operations. In addition to an evolving array of programs, Stonewall produces Lavender Listings, a listing of local products and services from LGBTQ+ friendly businesses and organizations, and Columbus Pride; started in 1981 Pride now welcomes over 700,000 visitors to the Columbus region.

2021 - 2024 Strategic Plan: Diversity & Inclusion

"When you add different perspectives, experiences and voices to the table, you just get different ideas you maybe never thought about, or different solutions or new ways of looking at things that benefit our employees, our community, and the clients we serve."

It's personal for us.

FCBank is devoted to creating a culture that is diverse, equal, and inclusive. In support of the Bank’s strategic diversity and inclusion efforts, and to ensure that the diverse perspectives of the entire Corporation’s employee team is considered, the Corporation established a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee (the “DE&I Committee”) in 2018. The DE&I Committee, which meets monthly, is comprised of executive sponsors and over 10 employee members including underrepresented minorities, females, and those who identify as LGTBQ+, with the following committee responsibilities and goals:

  • Encourage an inclusive and engaged workforce culture through communications and training
  • Demonstrate sustainability, commitment, and accountability by tracking DE&I efforts bank wide
  • Bring awareness to the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion internally and externally

2021 - 2024 Strategic Plan: Environmental, Social & Governance

"When we found out how much paper we use as a financial institution, it was kind of sickening"

"If we want to have a great place to live down the road for generations to come, we must be good stewards around our carbon footprint"
